Macpherson was again back in the winner’s stall yesterday at Swan Hill. She saddled up the consistent Lycka Till for an all the way first-up win. Ridden by Dean Holland, the three-year-old gelded son of Magnus and Oakdale Joolz was an easy winner of the Mildura Carnival 30/8 & 1/9 Maiden Plate, 1200m.
The gelding defeated Hot Ruby by three lengths with Artie’s Shore a half-head away third.
Lycka Till, part-owned by the Macpherson family along with stable clients, was having his third start. He has been placed prior to his win.
