Kilmore trainer, Alicia Macpherson, kicked off the success of the locals at the Echuca Racing Club's two day Cup Carnival, saddling up Call On Kevin.
Fourth emergency, the three-year-old gelded son of God's Own and By Any Means, managed a start in the 13 horse field to take out the Super Vobis Maiden Plate (1400 metres).
The gelding defeated the debutante, Unscrupulous, by 3/4 length with Heez Notorios close up third.
Call On Kevin, part owned by the trainer, was ridden by Marc Munday. The gelding was having his eighth start and had two minor placings prior to the win.
