The stable had a tremendous day at the Geelong Synthetic track last Friday.

Emerenta and Tunes were both successful in $30,000 races that were the main races on the program.

The former, a four year old daughter of Excellent Art and Danazira, first up since last December, was ridden by Mark Pegus, in impressively scoring in the $30,000 Six Foot Six Showcase F&M BM70 Handicap (1000m).

The mare defeated Simply Ming, trained by John Symons and Shelia Laxon and the Peter Moody galloper Noela's Choice.

Emerenta has now won three races with five minor placings from 14 starts.

The second leg came in the $30,000 Bay FM & K Rock Winter Challenge  Synthetic Stayers Series Heat 1 (2100m).

The Viscount five year old gelding, ridden by Jamie Mott, defeated Jileks Spur ($9) by a head with The Princeling ($5.50) a half head away third.

Tunes is part owned by Macpherson, along with Kilmore Racing Club vice-chairman, Greg Stute and a number of stable clients.

The gelding, formerly a Darley-owned galloper, has now won five races with seven minor placings from 36 starts.
